P. R. Ramesh
Independent Director

With over four decades of experience, P. R. Ramesh is the former Chairman of Deloitte India and a former member of the Deloitte Global Board. A Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), he has played an influential role in shaping regulatory frameworks, corporate governance standards, and professional practices in India.

Over the years, Mr. Ramesh has been part of several regulatory and policy-making bodies, including SEBI’s High Powered Advisory Committee, the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India’s Advisory Committee on Service Providers, the Reserve Bank of India’s Working Group on Ind AS implementation, and the Government of India’s Committee on Regulatory Reform for Ease of Doing Business. He has also contributed to committees under the IRDA, NACAS, and ICAI, among others.

In addition to his regulatory contributions, he has been actively associated with industry bodies such as the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), where he serves on the Committee on Regulatory Affairs and Governance, and has also served as the President of the Bombay Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

Mr. Ramesh currently serves as a Director on the Boards of leading companies such as Air India, Cipla, Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals, ITC Hotels, Larsen & Toubro, Nestlé India, and NSE Investments, among others.

In recognition of his leadership and governance excellence, he was awarded the Best Independent Director for 2022-23 by the Asian Centre for Corporate Governance and Sustainability.
