Improved planning and operations for an electric utility

We deployed a configurable cloud-based data governance solution to define data processes and centralize the data management approach. This helped critical systems to function properly and efficiently. It also improved the field crew’s tools and accuracy of asset location for efficient planning and operations.

Created a unified GIS environment to support a nationwide workforce across a diverse mix of subsidiaries

Developed a complete GIS solution and delivered systems integration, data migration, and support and maintenance services to build a new, common platform across subsidiaries of a major Utility. Built on Esri’s ArcGIS Utility Network GIS, the solution ensured a secure, scalable, easy, and cost-efficient platform for accessing data anytime, anywhere, and on any device.

Asset mapping and vegetation encroachment analysis for an electric utility

We leveraged Cyient's Virtual Walkout solution to perform mapping and high-level classification of the distribution lines, towers, buildings, and vegetation encroachments across 80,000 linear kilometers of LiDAR and 360° imagery. This enabled the electric utility to plan and prioritize asset maintenance activities, improve network reliability, and reduce maintenance costs

Empowered an electric utility with access to updated network data

We processed LiDAR data and associated aerial photography to extract network features and objects such as vegetation, terrain, and buildings for an electric utility that manages an asset base worth $8.7 billion. The updated network information helped the company to reduce operational costs.
