Field Engineering

Our field engineering services combine route and manhole surveys to help verify the actual fiber connectivity. We trace the fiber interconnectivity physically within the frames by using GPS, measuring tape, roadometer, etc., and verify it with logical inventory. We also perform splicing for cables wherever necessary, and conduct drive test and optimization to check coverage criteria of a cell site. Our services lead to simplified field activities and reduced costs by deploying accurate field elements in real-time scenarios. Our field engineering services include the following:

  • Cell site survey and PoP survey
  • Electromagnetic fields (EMF) survey
  • Splicing and testing
  • Network verification and certification
  • GIS tagging
  • Troubleshooting and restoration
  • Equipment installation drive test

How We Can Help

  • Strong pool of field engineers with domain experience in areas such as OSP and ISP survey, Copper joining or copper punching, fiber splicing and testing, installation and commissioning of add-drop multiplexers, BTS equipment, FMS racks, etc.
  • Expertise in a wide variety of network technologies including IP/Ethernet and fiber optics (SDH, xWDM, FTTx, xPON)
  • Knowledge of multi-vendor equipment and cables including Ericsson, Alcatel Lucent, Huawei, ZTE, Corning Cable Systems and Tyco Electronics

Quick Facts

  • Reduced operating and administrative costs by up to 30% due to optimal utilization of resources
  • Enhanced communication between onsite resources and planner/scheduler streamlines, improving work execution
  • Efficient handling of splicing, tracing and testing, as well as OTDR equipment and tools
  • Greater visibility into the progress and status of work executed at a remote location through provision of photos and real-time information
  • Commenced a survey of over 15,000 manholes and a 10,000 km route spanning seven metro cities across India
