As Chairman of Cyient Inc., Peter Longo guides the organization’s strategic initiatives in creating innovative, design-led manufacturing and technology solutions.

Before stepping into this leadership role at Cyient, Peter served as Senior Vice President of Operations at United Technologies Corporation (UTC). In this role, Peter provided global leadership and direction to ensure the enterprise leveraged its scale across the supply chain. He was also instrumental in driving standardized work and leadership across UTC’s large and disparate international businesses in the areas of supply chain strategy, advanced manufacturing, overhead and inventory reduction, and operations talent development.

During his 30-year tenure at UTC, Peter held key leadership positions across the organization, including:

  • Vice President and UTC Corporate Controller
  • Vice President, CFO roles at its largest aerospace business units including Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, Hamilton Sundstrand Corporation, UTC Aerospace Systems, and the former UTC Propulsion & Aerospace Systems
  • Vice President and General Manager, ERP (worldwide SAP implementation)

Peter, who started his career with Price Waterhouse, joined UTC in 1988 at its Pratt & Whitney division and held several crucial positions there, before moving to Sikorsky in 2003.

With in-depth experience in finance, supply chain, IT, and operations, Peter is a seasoned leader who can pioneer best practices with evolving technologies. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accountancy from Bentley University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

With his interest in spiritual and social missions, Peter is also a member of the executive committee of the board at the Hartford Bishops Foundation. An avid outdoorsman, he serves on several environmental organizations in Litchfield County, Connecticut.
