Hyderabad, 3rd October – Governor of the State of Washington, Christine Gregoire visited Infotech Enterprises’ Hyderabad facility along with Counsel General, US Consulate (Hyderabad) Katherine Dhanani, and members of her delegation. During her visit, the Governor was briefed on several complex and safety-critical projects being executed by Infotech team for customers in United States and particularly the state of Washington.
Gov. Gregoire’s visit involved deliberations with Dr. BVR Mohan Reddy, Founder and Chairman, Infotech Enterprises, Mr. Krishna Bodanapu, President and COO and several other industry leaders. Delegates from NASSCOM also attended the event. The Indian business delegation reiterated its commitment to the US economy through mutually beneficial and value-based partnerships.
Commenting on the occasion, Dr. Reddy said: “There is a clear story beyond cost arbitrage. The industry has made significant commitments to the innovation economy of US by setting up dedicated centers. High-end solutions from Indian companies are helping US citizens, viz. reducing cost of public services, improving healthcare systems and introducing new affordable products for daily use. Quoting a NASSCOM report, he added, Indian companies have added 280,000 jobs in US, contributed over US$ 15 billion in taxes (last 5 years) and invested over US$ 5 billion through 128 acquisitions.”
Gov. Gregoire is currently on a 10-day trade mission to India and South Korea where she will meet with government officials and business leaders.
